You recently received the 2012 Property Tax Notice on your property. Please be aware that, unlike a home payment, a land mortgage payment rarely includes taxes for land; it is something you pay directly to Pima County Treasurer’s Office. About two years ago, a seller got a notice that her property was being sold at a tax auction. “How,” she bellowed, “can that HAPPEN?!” First, she never got any tax bills because they were being mailed to the vacant lot and second, she thought it was being paid from her land mortgage.
BTW, if you are interested in reducing your land taxes please call me…I have an idea how.
